Hi Diana! I have been seeing my hair stylist for years, her name is Sandy Dick and she owns Sophia's Salon. The Salon is in a beautiful and eclectic home and she also boasts a mens salon. She has professionals who also offer mani/pedis, facials, etc. You can find her on Facebook at www.facebook.com/pages/Sophias-Salon/287989075502.

Hope that helps!

I really like Concord Vet in Farragut, TN.

If you don't mind venturing out just a bit further, there are several communities in Loudon county. Tellico Village, Millers Landing, Conkinnion Point just to name a few. There are several lakefront homes with docks and davits available. If you would like further information, please contact me and I will be happy to give you additional information. If you prefer, just visit my website to search for lakefront homes at http://www.catrinafoster.com
Good Luck!

Hi Jason, Blaine is a very small town. If you like living in the country it is very nice. Small town stores and shops. It is possible to have some mountain views and not too far of a drive to the lake and some state parks. House Mountain and Big Ridge state parks are fairly close. Norris, Douglas and Cherokee would be your closest lakes. Depending on where your job is located in Knoxville the communte is easy into downtown Knoxville, east and north Knoxville. South Knoxville not too bad. West Knoxville could be an hours drive. Real estate prices are affordable. Your probably not going to find a lot of rentals in this area. You would have to drive into Knoxville for big stores and dining but not more than 20-30 minutes away. Like I said if you are looking for small community and country living that is what Blaine has to offer. Good luck with your research. You might find my website helpful. ... more

Joe, I'm a UT graduate and East Tennessee native. East Tennessee's larger cities are seeing great growth and appreciation. Knoxville is seeing an impressive revitalization of its downtown corridor and Old City. With its proximity to campus, I would certainly keep it on my radar. Convenience is king in the Fort Sanders neighborhood, however you're going to see some pretty rough conditions in some parts. I wouldn't rule out the areas in south Knoxville near Chapman Hwy near graduate student housing and north Knoxville in Lonsdale and Merchant's Road. ... more
