Tom Priester answered:
Dear E,

Linton Avenue runs east and west and ends at the beach so the walk from that point is more of a skip. The further west you go the longer the walk. If you are trying to get close to the action on The Avenue the walk from Linton is a lengthy one. ... more

Yes, many of the communities have a percentage available for under 55. It makes for a nice mix.

Jeremy Olsher answered:
Yeah. Realtors today have many calls on properties like this in South Florida. That is a good thing to be looking for in this market, and there is tons of competiton to find these properties, let alone put them under contract.

The questions a realtor (like myself) would have for you would be:

#1, are you paying cash, or do you need a mortgage?
#2, Do you want to rent this property immediately after purchase (does it need to be rentable?)
#3, Does it have to allow pets?
#4 Is a one bedroom ok, or do you need two?
#5 Does the condo association need to be in good financial shape?

If you want to discuss more, call me anytime

I live and work in Delray Beach, FL, and can certainly assist.

Tanya Dolan answered:
No! I know that it can seem like everything in Delray is a retirement community, but it is not. There are a lot of them out there for sure though. They tend to be out more West and not as East as the "all ages" communities.

If you need assistance finding a place that would suit you and your non-retirement community needs please contact me and I will be glad to help you.

Hi Karen,

There are many lovely communities in the Delray Beach area. I think you'll find this area a little less congested than the Miami area.

Please contact me directly so I can get more specific information on what you want in a home and the community. I'd like to know how many bedrooms, and baths you need. What community amenities you desire. I look forward to hearing from you.
