Maria, in what price range. What type of amenities are you looking for? Where in Fort Lauderdale, are speaking about down town Fort Lauderdale, near the beach, or in the suburbs?

Dear Joyce: There are several options available to you, depending on your budget. When are you planning this move? You obviously know Fort Lauderdale pretty well. If you were to buy you could take advantage of the incredible bargain prices that are out there right now as well as the new low interest rates. Newer buildings tend to have higher monthly maintenance fees, so that's worth thinking about. Several of the older buildings have undergone complete renovations including hurricane impact windows. When you say waterfront, are you OK with Intracoastal view (which I personally think is so much nicer than ocean view - far more to see at night with the beautiful lights and luxury homes)?

I would be delighted to work with you and could send you some properties that would match your criteria. Often I find that the feedback I get from people at this early stage, particularly with what they don't like, tells me more about their preferences than they realize.

I don't know when you were last here, but there are now SO many fantastic restaurants to choose from, you'll never want to eat at home!

Call or drop me a line and we can discuss this in more details, especially with regard to price and timing.

Best regards from sunny South Florida
