You will need to do some research on your own on that one, as Realtors we can't answer that question. Check with the local police or sheriff department for crime statistics. You can also go to to check a single address. Also…eighborhoods/crime-rates can be helpful. Good luck. ... more

Greeting homeseeker!

To start, have you spoken with a lender? That is the first key to the home purchase process. With low interest rates you can afford more home now than ever before. I would love to assist in your search for the perfect property and neighborhood for you and your daughter. If you have not spoken with anyone regarding financing, you can give me a call and I can give you a few referrals to call and see who gives you the best options. Hope to talk to you soon!

Hi Susana,

First, you may want to check with your property manager to confirm that a leasing certificate is available. It the maximum allowable units have already been leased, the best you can do is make sure that your name is on the waiting list.

However, if you have the good fortune to have a leasing certificate already you can always enter a listing in Craig's List, but not Trulia which is reserved for realtors.

If you run into any snags I would be happy to assist you.

Your best bet will be to find a place and rent furnature from Arrons or Cort furnature independent of the apartment. There are several firms that offer shorter term leases M to M or 3 M for about 1.75-2 times the normal rental rate. These many not permit pets.

Kookies - best thing to do is work with an agent who is familiar with the area you want to live. Best to be in close proximity to work due to traffic concerns in the area. Where will you be working?
If you need any assistance, let me know. Also you can find a ton of information about the local communities on my website at under the "local communities" tab

Matthew Mahaffey answered:

I’d recommend starting your search now and check the availability of each rental that you come across, for it can vary. The inventory changes constantly so it is best to not wait. Also, it is good to get to know what you can get based on your monthly budget so that there is no shock of the discrepancy between wants vs. reality once you arrive. Nonetheless, both Buckhead and Sandy Springs have great properties whether you are looking for a townhome or a high-rise condo. Here in Atlanta, a good complex isn’t complete without a pool so that should not be a challenge!! Feel free to get with me via email if you have any questions!

Thank you,
Matt Mahaffey

Those areas are all across the city. I don't even you that type of drive (or the decision on where to live)! I suggest you stay very close to the Interstate system. You might want to consider someplace like Midtown, which is convenient to I-75/85 and I-20. ... more

You may find that most Rental houses are individually owned and managed.
They may advertise, they may not.
The best way to find these is to drive around the neighborhoods and look for RENTAL signs.

Please understand that using UPPERCASE is like screaming and it is very boorish!

Good luck and may God bless
