I would consider Raleigh or Durham, very friendly. I am from Alexandria Va and moved her 11 years ago it is so nice, I love being 2 hours from the beach.

Great questions. When are you planning to relocate? Our school system has undergone some massive changes in assignment procedures this coming school year and most of the selection process has been completed. I would recommend visiting the school board website to better understand how the new selections are being made for the remaining seats if there are any in the schools you are interested in. I have 2 school age children and one entering kindergarten so I have done an extensive amount of research on the situation. The HOA is $156 annually. The homes in this subdivision are built on slab and most exteriors are vinyl. The lots on average are .15 acres. There is a lot of inventory in the subdivision, currently 27 properties for sale.
What other requirements do you have, i.e. schools, location, commute time, price range etc.
There are more options in Raleigh as well as neighboring towns like Apex, Holly Springs, Cary.
