Real estate agents are constrained from providing anecdotal information about crime and it is better to point to resources where a potential buyer can research on their own. I have many buyers rave about spotcrime and I am attaching a link here.

Statitistics are done by different groups from a variety of data bases. In todays market that should be the least of your worries. Make sure who you pick as an agent has a good grip on internet marketing. You might use Google to see if an agent can market themselves. ... more

Issues of crime rate and neighborhood safety are often best referred to the local police department or the county sheriff's department. They have access to the most current and accurate information and are generally willing to be helpful.
