You'll have to contact the Maryland Association of Realtors, if you used a Maryland Contract on the purchase of the property. There should be a paragraph in the contract that states it, that you have agreed to mediation for disputes. If you have a case they will let you know and the limit is $25000 if they decide that you have been damaged. You cannot just be displeased, you'll have to prove that the realtor did something that caused you damages. That is my understanding of how it works. ... more

I am sorry the system seems to have let you down. I have had a bad experience with the home improvement commission myself (actually my daughter). It seems they only police the ones who are licensed. Hmmm. Makes you wonder doesn't it. I do not know of anyway to expedite things but I feel that the real estate commission is probably where you will find the most help. Good Luck to you!
