Sellers are never obligated to fix anything. If you ask and they say no it gives you the option of walking away if so written in the contract. Your Realtor will explain this. Not all wires must be copper but you need to ask a licensed electrician about code violations as codes are different in different areas. I have seen main feed lines of aluminum, are these the 2 you see? If so it could be ok. Seek the advise of an electrician. ... more

Google Maps is a great tool for this. Type your address into the Google search bar, then look for directions, and type in train stations.

Hi Mike,

You'll find plenty of knowledgeable realtors on here that can help you. The supply is no problem. It's up to you to do some interviewing and find a realtor that you connect with and that you will feel comfortable with as well. I would recommend you approach this as if you were hiring a contractor or project manager: It pays in more ways than you know to do your homework and to find a realty professional to work for you that you feel is doing everything in their power to match your dreams with the realities we face here on a daily basis.

Tony, I would have to think you saw the house and would have been able to determine the number of bedrooms in it. To qualify as a bedroom, in Virginia, a room has to have a closet and a window within 42" of the floor. If you had a buyers agent, they should have been able to tell you that. Since you are out of state, I do not know what recourse you would have but your attorney should be able to advise you. Hope that helps. ... more

If you want to see about public transportation, the NJ Transit website has an itinerary planner that will allow you to plot your route by time of day (arrival or departure) and how far you are willing to walk. Pfizer may also have commuter vans or sponsored carpools. Otherwise, it's I287 to 206N.
