Hi,
You can check the data right here on the Trulia site by clicking on the " Local Info" tab on the banner at the top of this screen. Then click on "Market Trends". It appears that sales prices are down from last year but list prices are trending up a bit.

Best wishes!

Bonnie,
Contact your agent. The $1750 may be a cloned scammer ad. This happens often; your agent can contract Trulia and check with Craigslist and other sites to alert them.

It's a single family house that sits on 4 acres and appears to have very little debt on it. Other than that, not much. It is not on the market.

NYer,
Just like 5th Ave & Park Ave in NYC
Round Hill Rd & North Street are considered to be very Tony Greenwich locations.
There are also many quiet neighborhoods as well which are off the beaten path if you so desire.
Feel free to call me with questions about neighborhoods in Greenwich.

94 Meadow Wood is a beautiful home in Belle Haven. It is still on the market and has been for 1,526 days. On October 1st of this year it got a new agent at the same firm. The MLS number is still 72165. The price remains the same at $5,195,000.

We presently have 79 houses on the market between $4MM and $6MM in Greenwich. This segment had been slow through May, but sales of houses over $3MM in Greenwich really picked up in June and have continued at a good pace since.

For more info on Greenwich fall market, checkout my blog posts at http://greenwichstreets.com/inventory-up-in-fall-market-34-open-houses-in#!/.

Hello Sharmaakshit,
It is always wise if you will be financing your home purchase to have a mortgage approval contingency included to protect yourself. A lender will not approve a mortgage if the home does not appraise at or above the selling price. So yes, you should include an appraisal contingency in your offer. It can be written into the contract if it is not already included.

Good luck to you!

Greenwich is an excellent area to raise children! I was born and raised here. There are 10 elementary schools in Greenwich, 4 of which are magnet schools, you can apply to go to these, unless you live in the actual district. Greenwich taxes are the lowest in the state! The commute is under 50 minutes.

The different area's are Old Greenwich, Riverside, Cos Cob, Byram, Glenville. Then, of course, there is Central Greenwich and Back Greenwich.

Email me at suemortimer@prudentialct.com and I will tell you all about Greenwich and send some sample listings.

Patricia,

Looking for a rental in Greenwich that will allow 2 dogs could be tough? Many lanlords just don't allow pets and state it clearly on the listings. With that said if you give me a price point I can check to see what is available. If your friend does not see anything to their liking I can contact the agents on the properties that list no pets and see if they are willing to make an exception. I have been successful doing this in the past. ... more

Hello Patricia,
I suggest that you contact a mortgage lender with your questions as they are the experts and can counsel you best.

I do know that your debt to income ratio is a major factor in determining your eligibility to refinance and/or purchase another property.

Good luck!

Laura Feghali answered:
Hello Patricia,
It's a good idea to purchase if you plan on staying in the home for at least 3-5 years so that you will realize a gain in value once you resell.

Mortgage interest rates are at historic lows, prices are lower than they have been the past few years, and there is a lot of inventory which makes purchasing now very desirable. But if you only plan on staying in the home for a year or so and then sell then you may not have enough time for the property to appreciate in value.

Hope this helps.

Good luck to you!

Stamford has plenty of nice beaches. Nice library right in Downtown Stamford. Stamford is much less expensive then the bordering towns Darien and Greenwich. If you like city life it has a real downtown with plenty of resturants, bars, etc... You might consider Greenwich as a alternative. Greenwich has a great library, YMCA, Beach, Greenwich Ave...The taxes are super low compared to any other towns in Fairfield and Westchester County. Please feel free to contact me with any additional questions or for a tour of both cities. ... more

Yes, there is metered parking at the Greenwich train stations and it is still available at 7:00 . You can also apply for a parking pass. Some stations have a wait list, but no all of them.

Hello Jgubs,
There are quite a few rentals available in central Greenwich off the main street (Greenwich Ave.) that are within walking distance to the train. Depending upon your price range, there are condos and units available within multi-family homes.
Please, feel free to contact me to discuss your needs and desires as then I could send you some rental homes to view on-line.
Thank you,
