Good evening,
You can find all the numbers on education, crime, and market statistics on my website, http://www.movingsouthofboston.com/mimarket/zip/02184/ . Braintree is a very desirable area, and the properties are moving quite quickly. Please let me know if I can be of assistance in answering any other questions for you, or help you with your home search. Enjoy the evening!

Andrew, there are many nice areas of Braintree, and Logan is definitely one of them. As a kid, I spent a lot of time in that area, as one of my good friends grew up down in that neighborhood. However, other nice areas of Braintree include the Braintree Highlands (south Braintree), Hollingsworth Ave, Hawthorne Ave, Cedar Street, Messina Drive, and Liberty. These are just a few of the areas you could consider when looking for a home in that price range. Please let me know if I can be of any further assistance to you.

They certainly can be as bad as some short sales. With short sales you just nebver ever really know how long they will take for sure.

As first time buyers you are entitled to a $7500 tax credit. This credit is paid back over a number of years, but is basically a no interest loan. Great deal for first time buyers.

Also, make sure you invest in a home inspection. It will cost $400-$500 dollars for a basic home inspection, but it will help you sleep at night knowing what you are getting in a house.

Also, I would recomend hiring a Buyers Agent who will work on your behalf. Listing Agents work for the Seller and are obligated to getting the best price possible for the seller. A buyers agent will help you get the house at the lowest price possible, as well as inform you of neighborhood issues, and any other issues that might arise.

Hi there.... it is a great time to buy. The market has favored buyers with normalizing of inventory and pricing... Especially if you are renting...now is the time. The benefit of the mortgage interest tax deduction makes it a simple choice. There are many Town Houses that are at reasonable prices. The inventory is plentiful which will allow you to choose the best match for your housing needs.
The interest rates are still historically low, bit lender are much more cautious so the best bet is to call a reputable lender and talk about the cost of borrowing money... then get yourself a good Certified Buyers Agent that is also a Realtor Member in addition to having a real estate license.
Braintree has always remained a very desirable area especially now with the enhancements to Thayer academy, the low tax rates due to the south shore plaza and the redline commuter rail, etc...
Please let me know how I can be of service...
