The winter season is considered in season. That is when the snow birds (northerners) come down to Florida for the winter to get away from the cold weather up North. Some people rent for the winter and others are considered seasonal residents. They live down here from 3 months to 6 months. In season is usually Oct to March. Your question isvery subjective, what may seem bad to one personmay not even be noticed by another. I woulod say you need to visit the properties several times, speak to other people who live local. Obviously it may also change depending on weather as well, such as wind, humidity, heat etc.
At the end of the day it has tro be your choice rather than what others may think, but if it is worrying you now, consider how others may also consider this issue if and when you come to sell.... more

Based on what you are asking I think Naples would fit you perfectly. Although there are plenty of places to enjoy the night life, this is not party town. Places such as the Mercato draw in enjoyable night life with lots of people in your age, music, food and drinks.
Mercato also has a lot of good shops including a book store and World Foods. We also have a Trader Joes just north of Mercato. Downtown 5th Street is another great area for shops , good food and music.
As far as enjoying the weather, it's hard to beat Naples anywhere and our beaches are wonderful.

Inventory is low, but it has been that way for the last few years in Fort Collins. It is especially lower in the winter as sellers are reluctant to move during the snowy months. However, there are also homes that have been on the market for many months that were either priced too high and Sellers are getting impatient and need to sell. This is an advantage for Buyers, as there is more room to negotiate. I just showed a home in Wellington yesterday that is easily $10K beneath the market value because the Seller just wants to move on! Do you know the area, and what style of house you are looking for?

As long as you find a lender that is able to write a loan in Texas it really doen'st matter other than being familar with the rules of the state and any local requriements for the loan. If you are starting a new job in Texas and it it in the same field as you are in now that will help with being able to get a loan. They usually want 2 years on the job before you can get a loan but my waive that if you are staying in the same field or with the same company just relocating.

Well, it really matters what part of LA you are looking at. In the valley, in Granada Hills (what I like to call the Beverly Hills of the Valley), you can find a nice 5 bedroom house, large with a pool for around $500k. Average price of homes in the valley are well below $400k total. Most of these homes are built in the 80s and 90s, but some of the higher end homes are built after the 94 earthquake so you have more modern choices. Most people buying above $700k are putting large amounts in down payment, that's why they can afford home loans.
