house for deliquent taxes, you are also responsible for any liens against it? or does the money owed the government over-ride the money owed the bank? Thanks :)

All liens follow the property so you would be responsible for them. However, if you can get the title company to insure clean title you would not be responsible for any future liens. The very best of luck to you.

Title is tricky in these cases. We have had many investors try to resale properties that they acquired through sheriff sales with guaranteed "clear title" only to find out later that it was not.

I would look at the sherifff sale site for more info: http://www.phillysheriff.com/homesales.html .

If you are interested in purchasing a foreclosure or bank owned property, feel free to view our site below and contact us from there. We have been through it many times as this is one of our specialties.
