Copper plumbing thefts are running wild .. make sure you understand what your homeowners insurance will and won't cover, most will only replace with CPVC or PVC - not copper replacements...
As we stated in the previous question there could be nothing at all wrong with the home. But, if you are focused on one area ie; the plumbing then bring in a licensed plumber to inspect the home. That way if they do find something they can also give you a quote right then as to the remedy. A home inspector is great for an overall picture of the home. When you think though that you either have or might have an issue with a specific system then bring in a licensed professional.
