Hi Andy, it will show up in the county records, typically 2-3 days after recording, the information is available online.

The previous listing agent may have "agency" with a buyer that was developed during the listing period or it may be in process of foreclosure. When you form an agency relationship with an agent, they typically will research these things to find out if the home is still available for purchase.

An agent representing you, will help you ....with all your research, and making the best purchase terms you can on any property you may choose to purchase. If you had an interest in this property, your agent could possibly have made sure you had a back up offer, communicated with the bank or various other communications to represent your interests.

Do you have an agent?? I highly recommend you interview a few, find one you are comfortable with, who will represent YOU, your interests and goals. In the state of Washington a buyers agent represents YOU, the sellers agent or listing agent, works for the seller.
best wishes,

Hi Andy,

The last listing of this property that I can find on the MLS expired in January of this year. It was listed as a short sale with the last listing price of $530,000. There is no record of it's sale to anyone on the MLS. The county does not show a recent sale either...

This home is not in the RMLS. It appears to be a FSBO (for sale by owner). Sorry I can't be more help.
