Pouchonnyc, Home Buyer in Queens, NY

Does anyone know where I can find a Declining Market Value listing for the Queens and Nassau areas?

Asked by Pouchonnyc, Queens, NY Wed Mar 26, 2008

I spoke with a lender and I was informed that I would need to put an extra 5% on my down payment to take advantage of their special offer program, because of the Declining Market Value of the areas I am looking to purchase a property. I mentioned; Little Neck, Douglaston, New Hyde Park, and Floral Park areas. Is a listing on the internet that an a first time buyer like myself can use? If yes, please let me know.

Thanks for your assistance

I'm having trouble linking, but it's on the Fannie Mae website.

The "declining market status" goes away on June 1. Talk with your lender about it before assuming that you have to put additional money down- it's being eliminated by Fannie Mae. I'll check back and provide the link.
