Chinese Drywall???

Asked by Bill Eckler, Venice, FL Sat Feb 28, 2009

Large amounts of undesirable drywall were imported and distributed in the US. How big is the problem and where are the "hot spots?"

Would like to hear about your unique experience(s).

Hello Bill,

You're certainly going to open a can of worms with this one (Hah, Hah)! I too would like to hear the stories as it is an interesting subject. It seems the issue was mostly confined to South Florida and has been somewhat verified by independent testing labs. Without trying to influence the comments one way or another I'll not present my opinion. It has been a subject of great postings on the professional boards elsewhere and there has been every opinion from "Aw don't worry about it" to "Chicken little the sky is falling"!

We'll see what pops up here.
