VA Hospitals in Tampa, Gainesville, coming to Orlando.
I would look into Sumter County, Western Marion, Polk, Highlands, Northern Lake, Putnam, and Western Volusia.
The coast areas normally have more expensive land, higher density of people and more demand.
I can help you in Marion, Lake, Putnam, Western Volusia and Sumter. The others are beyond my regular area.
Great question. and I suspect you will get an answer for about every county in the state.
Here is a link that may help.
Remember to take in to account what your son''s needs are. If he is a veteran he may want to be close to a base for shopping at the PX or a VA hospital.
Also his insurance or HMO may have a stronger presence in one town, How about schools, does he want to be near anything specific.
Housing may be less expensive in one area and yet the commute to a hospital or other needs may be prohibitive.
Check ou the map and see what you can find.
Hi May I suggest Brevard County on the East Coast of Florida opposite Orlando (50mins) where you will find 72 miles of lovely Beaches , great viewing of Shuttle and Rocket launches and towns and small cities that are friendly and welcoming. We are also far enough North not to worry too much about hurricanes (which helps with insurance costs) and the slightly hotter and more humid South in the summer. We also have more affordable housing especially now and mortgages are available. Hope this helps.
