Trulia: PLEASE can we have a default to get daily report responses in our profile for every new question?

Asked by Ruthless, 60558 Thu Nov 8, 2007

I want to keep being notified when someone responds to a question that I have also responded to, but I'll get a couple dozen emails before I have a chance to go into edit my profile and change them to daily notices. PLEASE you are contributing to my addiction!!! If I can't cut back, I might have to go COLD TURKEY!

I agree, Ruth. Actually, to take it further, I would like to see a button for us to set defaults - whether we want to get daily notice, no notice at all, or instant notices.

After being on the board for quite sometime, I will choose no notices at all because I do go in and scan questions a few times a day anyway.

Hi Ruth,

This is an interesting idea and I'll talk to the rest of our team about it.

In the meantime though I have a suggestion. When you write your answer you can uncheck the 'Email me when answers to this question are posted' box and instead sign up using the 'Get email alerts' icon under the question. If you use that icon instead you can choose the daily alert rather than the instant alert.

I hope this is a decent solution for now.

Best Wishes,

What, you know a trick I don't? What is this daily notice activity you are talking about?

Hey Ruth,
We might have to form a 12 step program. Cold Turkey sounds a bit scary, but I agree :)
