Is there a demand for the use of Stagers in trying to sell homes in todays market? If so, is it at the request

Staging is integral to Showing. A home will show much better if care has been placed into the presentation. And isn't that what staging really is?

With the beautifully decorated builders "model" homes - the resale home has got some competition. I personally don't believe a professional is required unless the home is vacant and/or if it is in a higher bracket price wise.

Even the smallest home can be enhanced by simple de-clutter and furniture placement. Don't get too concerned about purchasing new furniture or even accessories. You'd be surprised what happens if you let your imagination flow - and the help of a good home magazine is; as they say, "priceless".

The only time I use a stage is if I have a vacant home. Otherwise, I work with the sellers furniture, de-clutter, do light staging, and make sure it's well lit.

I think that staging is more important than ever if you want to get your home sold. You can use the seller's furnishings and just "spiff" things up a bit - bring the decor current. Recently I had two properties sell in less than three weeks - BOTH were staged. At the same time I had a vacant property sit on the market for months. If you are considering staging but are on a budget just shop around and don't forget to look at their portfolio!

There is demand. Most I'd think is at the request of Realtors. They see the difference it makes. Sellers are less knowledgable about what it takes to sell and will only hire the stager at the request of the Realtor. There may be some savy sellers out there, but I'd say less are in tune or networked enough to know about stagers or the process to hire one.

There is a demand for the use of Stagers in today's market. I have obtained my ASP designation (Accredited Staging Professional) in order to provide better service and expertise in staging my seller's homes for either no cost or minimal costs to them. The market has changed in my area and a home will sell if it is staged, clean, good conditon and has curb appeal.

Staging a home is a must...it can be staged by the owner with the help of their agent or using a professional.

I have been fortunate that I have been able to work with my clients existing furniture and declutter. I have several staging video's that I give the sellers so they get the idea and then we work together to get the home ready to show.

I believe the demand for staging is growing because it makes a Huge difference in the sale time of a home.

Home Staging is the very best proven way to get top dollar for your home as you prepare it for sale. Homes that are Staged seem to sell faster and for more money! This is because Staging sets the scene throughout the house to create immediate buyer interest in your property. This will then lead to your home selling for the highest possible price in today's market.

I believe staging is a hit or miss thing, depending upon the particular buyer. Some creative buyers prefer to preview homes that are vacant so that they can mentally picture and arrange their furniture in the open space; however, other buyers are visual, needing help creating an image to see what a home would look like with furnishings. Most importantly, the home should be in good condition, clean and have no bad odors or smells. If it is still occupied, each room should be de-cluttered and most personal items like pictures and knick-knacks packed away.

I'd like to hear who agents use (if hiring someone), what type of furnishings and decor are used & how (or the techniques) other agents or professional stagers stage a vacant home as well as the success rate they typically realize once the home has been staged.

I think staging is a great tool. Some homes need it more than others. Most homes need decluttering, even the pristine ones. Buyers are emotional and shpp with their feelings. If a house feels warm and friendly when they buyer walks in it will make it seem more like "the one".

I have never been a big fan of stagers. Bottom line is that it works. They really help sell homes. We have a lady who redo`s homes with a IKEA look. SOLD. The buyer wants to buy the furniture also. Crazy.

I market my properties the same way whether it's sellers market or buyers market.

Sellers are very savvy now so they will ask but I do recommand my clients to do staging but in different degrees, all depends on how the property shows, what it needs and what the target market is.

I personally prefer to try to use the seller's personal properties if possible. A lot of times it just needs de cluttering, move things around and add a few accessories. There is no use to waste money if they have the right furnitures and decorations. Sometimes we will stage a secion of a home or one room that showcase the hose... and so on.

Sometimes it does not make sense to get any new furniture at all because it is the way it is (meaning we will probably start talking about new parint, new carpet, etc), then we will just be clean up and rearrange furniture.

So to get back to your question, sorry, we still stage. Just because the market is slow and it takes longer to sell does not mean you should cut down on your service.
