How can you buy it, Dina? Wait for it to go on the market! (Or find out who the lender is and get in touch with him directly). As states over and over on other posts on this website, these "foreclosure" homes are not on the market yet, but rather are from a service which scours the local sherriff's office filings for lis pendens, judgments of foreclosure, and schedule sherriff slaes. Only after the bank "buys" the property back at the sale does it become an REO property. It is usually thereafter that the home goes on the market. Often times these sales are stayed becuase the defaulting borrower has come up with some money to pay, has the home on the market with a potential offer, etc.

Hi Dina,
You've made the first step, the desire to buy a home! If there's a will, there's a way. If you have not been pre-approved for a loan, that's a good place to start. Use a local well known lender who can help you thru the process (interview several). Interview agents to represent your interest in buying. If you haven't found a REALTOR designated real estate agent, they can give you a consultation on the home buying process. They are a wealth of knowledge and have lots of contacts to help. If you need help there, call me, I have a national referral network. 757-478-1600. Good Luck with your home buying process!
