I guess that answer is "it depends". I have watched some agents be very successful even in this challenging market, but only if they "stay the course". I learned many years ago from a seasoned veteran agent that - when it's busy, you work hard. When it's slow, you work harder.
I just put my head down, work my systems, keep in touch with past clients and network as much as possible.
We are fortunate here in the Milwaukee area, that even though the market has had a downturn, we have not felt the major drops that other areas of the country have experienced.
When I made the committment to be a Real Estate Professional that it would be my full-time profession. So, I do whatever it takes to be successful and make the income I need.
I feel that if I didn't give this 100% (or more) of my effort that I would shortchange my clients.
I have been blessed that business has been consistent.
