Shekar, we just recently had a problem with a buyer not being able to find the MLS listing for an REO property. There is a lockbox on the property, and it is clearly vacant, but there is no sign on the front lawn. It takes a little bit of work to find out how the banks are selling these properties, but it is possible. If you have questions, call our REO specialist in my office, Mary Gonzalez, at 408-250-3843.

There are several places to look for REO properties.. 1) go to your favorite bank's website and search for REO (Real Estate Owned or Bank Owend) 2) go to my website and sign up for my buyer/seller toolkit. When you set up the automated alerts, under the 'additional listing information' select 'Bank-Owned /REO'. Or call my 24/7 REO line 800-481.3624 x2008. If you find something interestings.. give me a call!
