I assure you all involved wants a property sold, but at the same time agents need to scrubb buyers to see if there capable to purchase a home. Sounds like there are either other offers that came in or maybe they felt you were not beign serious... if you were being very dificult in the negotiations they may be "play hard ball" back... while it is not their money the person at the bank is still a person and emotions DO come into play sometimes...

Could always go back with their last counter offer and see if they will take it now... that may be all they are looking for???
