Judy, call the lender's REO department and ask them if they've assigned the house to an agent. I've seen homes assigned within a day of the auction. If so, contact the agent directly. It may not show up as a listing in MLS for a while if the lender has to fix it up or evict the previous owners, but you can start the conversation before the listing hits.
Finally, the registry is backed up several months in recording foreclosure deeds, so it may take time to get a clear title.
