The property taxes in Woodland Park are very reasonable when compared to other areas. Insurance is the same as non-mountain property, however it you are building on an unstable (soil shifts) hillside things can get tricky so you want be sure before you buy a home that there isn't going to be a problem. This is typical all of the way up the Front Range.
