Location is a big factor, but curb appeal and staging go a long way, use neutral colors, thin out the furniture in the rooms to make rooms bigger, stop with the candles use febreeze for a clean fresh cent. I know you have to live there and staging isnt convient but its necesssary with many homes on the market! ... more

Rebecca, I am a Woburn agent and as a former engineer (in my past life), I put a lot of effort into understanding the trends of the local market. Condos continue to drop in price, and the sales (units sold) are down as well. I have a very telling graph of the last 12+ years of pricing history in the local area, that I could send you if you'd like. One of the problems these days is the financing. Condos have really tightened up and result is that sellers can't sell, and buyers, who might be qualified, can't get a loan on the specific condo. I just had one occur where my buyer was pre-approved, actually got a commitment and the unit was rejected because FHA wouldn't spot approve the condo complex. If you were to find a great buy today, I think you need to plan on owning for a while, perhaps even renting it out, when you need to move on. ... more

Over the years alot of the homes purchased on Montvale were people flipping, some people got caught with properties they could not afford, especially rehabbing 2 families.
