No. The nearest one is 1.5 hours away in Chapel Hill, NC. There are several private schools, most are religious based. There is one charter school that is arts oriented.

It's pretty easy to get around in Wilson, so I think you could live about any place and wouldn't have a bad commute. Besides the large apartment complexes, the realty management companies rent the apartments in the smaller complexes, also they will have homes for rent. Try Bissett Realty, Womble Realty, J. W. Johnston County has good schools, but like most areas, some are better then others. You can contact the school main offices at 919-934-2586 to inquire about resources for special needs children. I have nephews in the schools here in Johnston county, and a sister-in-law teaches elementary school here, and they all have high opinions of the schools.
