Generally it's the responsibility of the resident to care for snow removal and lawn care. Whether that's the owner or somebody renting the house doesn't make much of a difference. I think it's definitely important to make sure though. If you're renting a property, this could be outlined in your lease. If it isn't outlined there, you could always just talk to your landlord and ask about who is in charge of it.

Appraisal of this house in December 2011? Easy! As Jeff mentioned (absolutely correctly), only licensed appraisers are allowed to estimate value in Delaware. Realtors are licensed to use the same tools that appraisers use routinely, and Realtors / Brokers are only allowed to estimate value in anticipation of a listing. Are you establishing value for fire or replacement? Are you wondering how long that appraisal is valid? Do you seek conditions and which comparables were used two years ago? What is your goal here? Valuation often includes marketing and sale at an "arms length transaction" and there is evidence this sale was NOT one of those. Most likely, the bank and the buyer are the only people who have the appraisal, if that is what you are asking. Did that help? ... more

This home has not gone to sheriff's sale yet and isn't on the August schedule. County records still show a private owner, as opposed to a bank or mortgage company. 2012 taxes were paid. The home was taken off the market a few years ago but I don't know the story behind it. It very well may be on the way to foreclosure but I have no way of knowing until it goes to sheriff's sale. Do you live in the area? It is very possible this home has been vacant for a while as the notes indicate the electric was off the last time it was on the market.. I hope this helps!
