Ooh boy, autistic AND adopted? Just one of those can kill somebody.
Bet the bullies outnumbered the supporters!

Well, I am guessing you couldn't get a job because of your social struggles and maybe identity struggles from being adopted, gave up, were a caregiver for years, maybe decades, your adoptive mother didn't teach you anything to prepare you for life because she felt sorry for you, you're now all alone, and now you need help selling. I'm sorry I don't live close by because I have dealt with a little bit of that myself.

Good luck finding a sincere, compassionate person to help you sell your house. If I were you, I'd do the FSBO and just be yourself; the right buyer will come along.

People who are 'creeped out' by you are not worth dealing with. If they are interested, they will try to trick you and deceive you. Bet you've already dealt with those types again and again, haven't you?. All you are responsible for is your intention; perception is their responsibility. I tell you, people LOOOOVE to brand those as socially awkward as conceited or retarded; that wrongful perception makes them feel soo gewd about themselves, you see. Us vs. them thinking.

Sell it yourself, be yourself, you sound like a thoughtful person to me who never had the right treatment or opportunities! Stay strong and come to Boston! Boston ranks highly for autism services! But first. GET.OUT.OF.THE.SOUTH. You'll feel worlds better. Best of luck to you!

Matthew Magallanes answered:
The average American will move 11.3 times in their lifetime. The prime moving years for homes in the price range are from the ages of 35 to 60 years old. There will be 6.8 moves per average in this time frame in Williamson County. Another way to look at that is about a move every 5 years. With 1600 occupied homes and adjusting for the move-in phase, that will eventually average out to about 300 homes for resale per year. It is simply math. It is only the size of the community that makes it appear there are a higher number of home sales per capita. Several posts above have also hit on the fact of with so much different product in the community resales include moves within Westhaven. With homes prices from the 300K to the 2MM price range, there are many move-ups an downsizes in the community due to family changes and age. There are also townhomes and condos. Statistically, it appears that since the expected number of home sales is under the anticipated average, the resale activity is considerably lower than expected, and the homes sell fast. The community retention is high. Concerns about commute time to I-65, which has been exaggerated, is mitigated by the high number of at-home business, access to jobs in Cool Springs, and the substantial lack of day-trips for daily needs shopping, schools and entertainment. The total number of miles driven per resident family is lower than average, as evidenced by the traffic studies on HWY 96 showing greatly lower-than-expected exiting car traffic from Westhaven during peak travel times and during the day. ... more
