I wouldn't necessarily view it as $668 per sqft. It's $679K for .5 an acre in Westport. Westport is a home builder's market right now for homes under $1M. They are trying to capitalize on what's going on, however, they should be working directly with builders, and they should be able to clear $600K. ... more

Dear Rdykhouse
Actually high schoolers living in the Greenfield Hill area of Fairfield go to Warde High School. The public school website address is and there is lots of great information on there including school performance reports so you can see how the two high schools - Warde and Ludlow compare.
Also if you click on the Transportation icon and scroll down you will find a Master Street List which shows you which schools you feed to from the different streets in town.
Please let me know if you need any more information about the area. Greenfield Hill is a really beautiful neighborhood with many historic houses.

Best regards

The complex owns four units here. There is only one owner that is registered as owning two units and they are not adjoining each other. My guess would be that two units have not been combined to make one as of yet, however, it does not mean that you cannot accomplish that if it is your wish to do so. A review of by-laws for the complex regulations would be very helpful.
Hope that helps

I have seen it all from offering to pay buyer's closing costs, home warranties, higher buyer agency commissions, a car, a vacation....I swear, any day now, Bob Barker is going to leap out on a front lawn and yell, "let's make a deal!" I think these incentives generally are attention-grabbing in the less expensive real estate sector, but you can't blame a listing agent for trying! ... more

The median price of a single family home, sold in Westport, during the first quarter of 2007 was $1,255,000. By fourth quarter 2008, that figure dropped 6%, to $1,179,000. There were 53 unit sales in the final quarter of 2008. Since there is a seasonal affect, the more telling comparison would be with 4th quarter 2007, when 80 units sold.

Randi Hutton answered:
Hi Amelia,
Thanks for your inquiry. There are often houses for rent at the beach in Westport. If you tell me if you are thinking short term or long term; furnished or unfurnished, I can email the appropriate currently active listings to you. Then we can go and see the ones that are of interest to you. I can send you everything available or if you want to put a ceiling on list price, we'll narrow it down to that criteria. Please let me know your further thoughts. ( -- 203-451-3455. Thank you.

Or are you saying that you want to purchase a rental property so you may rent it out and genrate a postive cash flow? Please give more detail. ... more
