Suggest asking the title company for all the reasons or "the" reason... Often, other seller's do not act immediately like you, nor as quickly as a title firm may desire.... But, (in my opinion) that delay reason would not be a justifiable reason to pass on handling the profitable title work business, UNLESS there are other valid reasons and liability concerns. Again, I suggest asking the title company manager for specifics, so that at worst, you may be prepared for the next title company that may handle your transaction. Best wishes. ... more
