Well someone was stabbed this morning here... there is frequent drug activity in the back buildings. Do your homework on which apartment you are renting. Interview the neighbors. There are better options. We have lived here less than a year. ... more

Hi Merlyn,

Your best bet is to either google crime statistics for the area or go to local police station and they will actually print out for you a report.
I believe even Trulia has these statistics if a home is listed on their site.

If you need further assistance I know the area well. I would be happy to help you

All usefull answers so far! I would suggest the answer depends
what you feel your needs are and where in either city you can
be shown circumstances that address these needs!.
Another way to go is to look ot available schools in areas you
want to consider, and make comparisons to find the best "mix" !

for all types of comparisons on schools!

Marbella Villas is a great little boutique community conveniently located just north of Northlake Boulevard in North Palm Beach. The community is gated and the builder did a good quality job of the construction of these two story units. For the most part all units are three bedrooms with 2 1/2 baths; all bedrooms are on the 2nd floor.

The unit you inquired about is still available as of this morning and if you want to see it please give me a call at 561 308-0175. They just lowered teh price $100 per month and are now at a price the market may react quickly to so do not delay if you are seriously considering this property. The owner is not seeking the last month rent up front so less out of pocket fees for you but will require a solid credit report and employment history.

The best thing you can do in today's active market is clearly define your housing objectives and determine what areas will meet your needs. Inventory levels are very low and finding homes is a much more difficult task than it was a few months ago. If you would like to further discuss your particular situation and put together a game plan to meet your goals please feel free to contact me at your convenience for a complimentary consultation. I would be honored to be on the list of Realtors® you may choose to interview to assist you and your family find the perfect Florida home.

Best of luck and if I can offer anything additional please let me know.

B- As already pointed out your best source for specifics
on crime activity at these locations would be the Crime Prevention
Section of the West Palm Beach Police Department.

There are two websites you may use to gain preliminary info but not
as an alternative to the above:

If unfamiliar with the area(s) do revisit more than once and at different times of day, possibly chat with locals/neighbors. Real estate professionals are prohibited from steering, enticing a buyer to purchase/rent, or not, in specific neighborhoods. When it comes to any safety/crime related issues, it's always best to contact the local police department with all your questions, hear all there is to hear firsthand...

Donna- Western Lake Worth, with a focus on villa type units in an HOA or Condo type
setting come to mind. If "middle age " means 55 plus- there will be added choices.
like Golden Lakes(33411) or Lucerne Lakes (33467) as examples. There are good
buys in comfortable settings here and this puts her close to family. Just a thouoght!

If I can help let me know. Iam up on greenacres and Western Lake Worth as
an area of search for this buyer.!

Bob Brubaker answered:

You have received two useful answers. I might add that real estate has property specific
considerations always. No area is populated with all " good" or "bad " investments. The worth of the
investment depends also on the investor. Rate of return, strategies are important but you should
feel comfortable with whatever you do. Get out there look at streets, communities ,you find interesting
and then match available properties there to the focus you reach from the contacts it was suggested
you make. A good candidate for buying is one that fits into your criteria , seems consistant with
characteristics of a property you want to own.

I specialize in the HUD Homes market. I can tell you no "good deal " is a deal for everybody. Real Estate
is an active and applied investment not passive. Look and you will find. Good Luck! Like my
fellow realtors - glad to help further.

Hi JP, you must check with the local police and sheriffs departments in West Palm Beach for information on these matters.

A real estate agent can get into a legal trouble for "steering" by offering opinions.

Why were several virtually identical questions of this nature posted at the exact same time for this area by people with different names?
