It's always hard to forecast property values when something like the I-526 project is still just a concept drawing. That being said, I-526 will not improve property values. Most likely property values will decline (who knows how much) especially for those on the southeast side of Battery Haig. There are currently two new homes being built in Battery Haig and a couple of lots that are for sale as well. Many homes on the Northwest side do have docks and access to a tidal creek with a short run to the Stono River. And they have great views. None of these people will visually be impacted by a future I-526 extension. However, there will be road noise and spending time outdoors will most definitely be impacted by the project from that perspective. Thank you for giving me the opportunity to provide you with info about the Avondale are of Charleston SC!

You have received a great deal of info regarding crime stats so I won't go into that. What I can tell you is that my daughter and her family live on Magnolia in Avondale and love living there! The thing that they like best about the area is the proximity to downtown Charleston where they work and the ability to walk to many places such as restaurants and parks. This is a very convenient area!
