David,
We pay taxes and it is separated by county and town taxes.
If you live in a village like Webster you will also have village taxes appear as well.

When it comes to any safety/crime related issues, it's always best to contact the local police department with all your questions, hear all there is to hear firsthand. If unfamiliar with the area(s) do revisit more than once and at different times of day, possibly chat with locals/neighbors. Real estate professionals are prohibited from steering, enticing a buyer to purchase/rent, or not, in specific neighborhoods.

Since no link is visible and no address given consider asking the question again--keep in mind that pictures don't always tell the full story--if you are interested in the property, any local agent can help you, contact any realty office and inquire about a showing. ... more

Take a peek at my website. I have a map search function on the first page and there is an option select active properties and also foreclosures. Simply tag the button near the top of the map and your requested search will be queued up.

If you have any questions on the process ... I'm scheduling appointments for buyers as early as first part of next week. I can show you what you'll be expecting when looking at and buying foreclosures.

In California once they post the Notice of Trustee sale on the property you usually have 21 days until the sale, this timeframe may vary by state. I have recently found an organization that is very pro-active in trying to help homeowners save their homes and get your payment reduced, even if you are in the late stages of foreclosure. In the event you do go through the whole foreclosure process, your lender may have a cash for keys program that will help with the cost of moving, if you leave the property in good condition. Feel free to contact me if you need more information. ... more

Hello Denlak,
Being a buyer today is the driver's seat you want to be in. Interest rates, incentive. It's a no brainer. What I don't understand is why you wouldn't want an expert who does this everyday, in your corner, looking out for your best interest. A realtor is a negoitiation expert whose fiduciary duty is doing the best job possible for their client. An agent has all information at their fingertips not just the internet you are going to, to find available properties. Beside, the seller pays the commission, not the buyer.
I'm sure there are many professional agents in Rochester who would do an excellent job for you.

Take care,
Marie Manshum

Danrama: Prices in Rochester have remained fairly steady, especially compared to California. Yes it is a buyers market though, and for first time homebuyers it is the best opportunity I have ever seen. Prices are reasonable, inventory is good, rates are historically low and there is a $7500 tax credit available to first time home buyers right now. ... more
