Trulia Customer Service answered:

Kristan from Trulia here. Add facts to improve our estimate. Please see for more information about how to change the owner information and request a new estimate on Trulia.

If you find an error for a property that is off market or recently sold, please keep in mind that the information we show for these properties is from prior listing information made available by the former listing agent or broker, or from public record data made available by the local county recorder or assessor. Public record information cannot be updated on Trulia and must be updated with the local recorder or assessor's office. However, if you are the owner of the home in question, you can select the option to 'Edit home facts' on the property page so that you can claim your home on Trulia and update your home facts. Those updated facts will then be shown on the listing page under the heading "Owner Information."

We hope your experience with Trulia is memorable and thank you for using Trulia for your real estate needs.

If you need any further assistance, please contact us directly at or by calling 1-888-466-3501 Monday - Friday 7am to 4pm PST.

Dan Grunwaldt answered:
Most of the online real estate sites are merging data fields either from the multiple listing service or the community's tax assessor. If the real estate site calls a field something different than the site it was merged from (mls or assessor), there is a good chance it will be missed. Wauwatosa has a field called "rec. room area". If Trulia calls this space something else and does not recognize the Wauwatosa designation, it will be missed. Wauwatosa has a field called "HALF BATHS". It looks like Trulia found that. As for your other question which seems to relate to value, opinions of value can vary widely, especially when computer generated without viewing the home. Its a good idea to check information from multiple sources and personal inspection. ... more

Yes are wise to ask as many websites available to consumers as opposed to Realtors don't show when a listing has an offer on it. We lived in the Tosa area for over a decade...this is as you probably know, a great location just 3 blocks north of North Avenue...not far from the Village, Mayfair, the expressway, etc. The photography says great care and super updates. My husband and I are both ABR (Buyers' Agents in non-realtor language) and it is good to have that representation as a buyer in addition to a reatlor familiar with the area. ... more

Hi Jessica...
No one can or should answer this question without knowing more about updates and condition of the home. That can only be done with a personal visit....Know that the market price of your home is determined by a short window of the homes sold in the last 3 months in your area that are comparable. We lived in the Wauwatosa f area or 15 years and know it well. We would be happy to do a market analysis for you with no cost or obligtion. If there have been any short sales or foreclosures that have sold in the area, those sold prices become the new comparables for this home if they are similar in description.Happy to help you. ... more
