Yes! We live in the historic district & the downtown belongs to them! When they walk down the street, people know them; they have seen them grow up. We walk to the library, out to eat, to Bill's hotdogs, to Church! It's wonderful!

The schools in the City of Washington are arranged so that it doesn't matter where you live, all kids in K-1 go to Eastern Elementary...no busing!. Kids in 2-3 grades go to John Cotton Tayloe, Kids in 4-5 grades go to John Small, kids in 6-8 go to PS Jones Middle & kids in 9-12 go to Washington High School. Get involved with your child's schools through PTA; volunteer in the class room & encourage your child...your child will have a great experience! Love to talk with you more about this!
