Some property posts on Trulia and other sites do not have the address. They come from Realty Track website which collects information from tax records about foreclosure auction alerts for these properties.

It means that the house is not actually listed for sale. If homeowner stops the foreclosure, or if it is purchased from the courthouse steps, the house will be gone for good.

If you are interested in purchasing a house from the court steps, regardless of all the issues this type of purchase involves, you may want to create an account with Realty Track (not free) to get all the specifics about such type of properties.
I will be happy to share more details on how these transactions work. Please feel free to call or email at your convenience.

Dear lcomastro,

It's difficult for Realtors, or anyone for that matter, to know or predict when a home may go into the auction process. Many homes, especially homes in great neighborhoods such as this one in Virginia Highland, will never make it to the auction because it will be sold by the Bank, prior to the actual scheduled auction.

I'd suggest contacting an agent with knowledge of the specific neighborhood and asking that agent to assist you in performing some research to see which bank currently owns the home and IF that Bank would entertain a sale prior to the auction...many banks will.

Hope this helps!

This property seems to be listed By Owner. I can't get to it in FMLS. However, I found a super-cute 1 bedroom for $800 on St Charles. Let me know if you'd like more info on that one or any others :)

Hi Patricia,

I want to apologize in the delay of answering your question. 760 Elkmont is withdrawn from the market as of 4/3/2010, Being that it is a short sale it would be impossible to rent a short sale because the bank owns the property. We at The Zac Team @ RE/MAX have a listing at 756 Elkmont for sale. I left our listing agent a message to ask the seller if they will be willing to lease for 2 years. Its a phenomenal home, 3 Bed, 2 Bath, and one of the best streets The Highlands have to offer! Heres a link to the virtual tour-

Please contact me in regards to this home or for assistance in finding a similar home in the Great Highland area!
