When I was part of a real estate team last year the team had this home as a listing. It's a good example of how challenging short sales can be. When the bank was determining value they wanted to compare this home to one in the foothills, which anyone living in ABQ would know is not a remotely fair comparison. That results in the bank thinking the home was worth more than it really was. You can realize some savings with short sales but it's not for the faint of heart! You have to be patient and flexible!
