Seasonal and full-time rentals are in high demand. South Venice has many areas without deed restrictions and no HOA fees, where your gated areas and Condos have higher restrictions and HOA fees. That depends on what you like, and if you want a condo or house.

Let's start with houses.

For golf course living, my vote is Pelican Pointe, where approx $200 per month, your lawn gets cut and you get to use the club house, pool, tennis and fitness center.

For non golf course, new construction, I would say Pennington Place.

For non golf course, slightly older resales, I would vote for Meadow Run, which offers a club house, fitness room, tennis court and community pool.

For non golf course, slightly newer resales, I am thinking the maintenance free section of Venice Palms.

HI, Both streets are in South Venice. My friend lives on Fundy. It is a great street, close to the beach, park, shops, yet has more of a rural feeling. You cannot believe how many stars you can see at night. The neighborhood is friendly, when we are using the pool you can hear distant music and occasional sounds of people.
It is an area that is eclectic, prices in South Venice can be $70,000, or $500,000, or higher. It is septic and wells only, the residences keep refusing the county's offer to bring in water and sewer.
It is a great place to live, I would love to assist you in finding your new home. Look forward to hearing from you. In the meantime, go to my website for up to date listings throughout the area, plus lots of other information on the area.

It really depends on the type of property you would like. Villa or condo, gate or ungated, elevator, no elevator, amenities within the community such as heated or non heated pool. You can move the curser over the photo on Trulia to move the picture to see up and down the street. Since there is already a photo with each listing on Trulia, they have provided a way to see the rest of the street, to get a sense of the neighborhood. So give it a try next time you are on Trulia.
