Do yourself a favor and don't look for the easy way to find out the value for your most valuable asset. Spend the time and money to do it right. I'm sure you should have no problem finding a realtor in Corpus that can give you several appraiser referrals. If your simply curious about the value, ask your realtor. If you don't have one, get one. I assume you have a doctor and a dentist....you should have a realtor.

Best wishes,
Tony

Thaicop,
To recap your choices~ least reliable to most reliable order:
1) FREE: Automated Online site like Zillow. Computes to the lowest commom denominator. I think it is zip code driven & Available sold price data.
2) FREE County TAx records. Typically off some times drastically low sometimes drastically high.
3) FREE Real Estate Agent. Analyze your neighborhood specifically to the data that is accurate & current.
4) COST $300 & Up Licensed Appraiser Considered the most reliable. Bank recognized if you need it.
I would only add that each of the last 2 are opinions based on currentr data. IF you just wnat to know then call one of us. If you need to present it to a lender then hire an appraiser.

Call ~ Text ~ Email ~ I will respond quickly.

If you are looking for the Travis County's tax appraised value, go here: http://www.traviscad.org/property_search.html and enter the property address. To get actual sales data for what has sold in the neighborhood in which you are looking, go to http://www.myagentsforchange.com/ and fill out the form on the left. You will receive an email with a link showing home sales data for the past three months that meet the criteria you selected.

We can also provide a comparative market analaysis of the home free of charge, which give you an estimate on the specific house at which you are looking.

Peace in your home,

Dear Thaicop,
You should be able to contact a local Realtor to prepare a "Comparative Market Analysis" for your home. Otherwise you can go to your local county website. Typically they have the taxable value of your home available online for no charge. I would also consider that the "tax value" and "market value" are often very different. If your considering selling your home, you should contact a local Realtor to see what the actual "Market Value" of your home is. I wish you the best of luck!

Sincerely,
Betina

Trulia does not offer appraisals on its site. There are different sources to value your home, you can get your assessed value at teh assessors office in your city. Zillow gives an estomate but it is only that and in some places is way off, you can have an agent complete a brioker price opinion to see what your house is worth in todays market or pay an appraiser for a true appraisal.

You will not find an appraisal of your home on any website. If you do find one it's nothing more than a computer generated guestimate (or on Zillow a Zestimate) These estimates are interesting the way the horoscopes printed iun many newspapers are interesting and have about as much real value.

Appraisals are done by apppriasers and you must pay for them. The average appraisal in my area of the country (Chapel Hill - Durham - Raleigh North Carolina) costs $350.

You could contact a Realtor in your area and request a Competitive Market Analysis. When properly prepared by an experieienced agent, a CMA should be almost identical in terms of valuation (though not in terms of presentation) to an appraisal which you would have to pay for.

Good Luck!

If your property is in Travis County then go to the following location: http://www.traviscad.org/property_search.html and if in some other County google the County (Name) followed by CAD. This should locate the appraisal districts's web site for you.

As said before you may contact a Real Estate Agent for the information as well as a Free Comparitave Analysis of the Sales value for your property.

Appraisals mean lots of different things.
Best is to hire someone to do it.
There is Zillow with some huge margin of error in Texas since we are a non-reporting state.
Then there is the county appraisal district http://www.traviscad.org , but that is pretty far off often as well.
You can also have a realtor provide you with a CMA to estimate your home value.

If you need a referral to a great realtor just let us know.

Do not believe there is such an evaluation on this site. If you are using Zillow forget it! Best thing you can do is either get a CMA from a Realtor® or hire an Appraiser privately.
