There are many ways to be successful, but the best way is to be helpful to others by advice them and assist them with anything real estate related. Top agents are up on the latest technology and they do everything from anywhere and at the same time they are passionate about the latest real estate industrty but also about general trends. Top agents will stay educated on new laws and issues that arise in the industry.

The two basic parts of Trulia ae Q and A and it's blogs. With Q and A, You need to be helpful and consistant. You need to answer teh question they are asking. If you do not know, do not answer. NEVER just write ask your agent, what does you agent think or seek a lawyers advice. It is not helpful and disrespectful. Offer an answer and a reason why. NEVER ask for a thumbs up and try to refrain from asking them to contact you. If your answer is helpful, comsumers will contact you.

With blogs you need to blog daily, writ on topics you specialize in, write about local information or events but DO NOT just write list with my i'm the best and sit back and wait for the calls that never come. Blatant self promotion drives consumers away.

Mack and Debbie offer some great advice, we have all been on trulia for quite a while and seen many changes some for the better and some for the worst but we see more agents come and go that did not give it an honest try and sought short cuts or to bypass what Trulia is all about.

That's really quite the ambiguous question. The best way is to follow in Debbie Rose's footsteps, but since she is already the Top Agent on Trulia, that's not going to get you there.

More than anything, I think what we need to figure out is not how to be the Top Agent on Trulia, or even what the Best Way to be that agent is - but to figure out how to be the best contributor we can be.

The best way to be a top agent in the Trulia community is to provide solid information and good solid content.

Not sure what you mean by "Top Agent on Trulia" I'm unaware of any such designation. If yuo're wondering how to raise your profile here on Trulia, engage with the public by answering questions and blogging. Ask your clients to post reviews about you. Spend a little money to become a Pro which gets your listings more notice.

Mack McCoy hit the nail on the head when he suggested it's not about focusing on being the "Top Agent" whatever that means; and more about being the best contributor.

Good Luck.

Jump through the hoops!
Being an Agent likely means that you are active in the community. Trulia wants to show the visitors homes and also provide them with the opportunity to connect with local real estate professionals.

The better the reputation the agents on Trulia have, the better Trulia becomes as a reputable source of great agents that visitors can do business with.

My question for you is- Why do you want to be the top agent on Trulia? What is it that you want?
