I know of a property listed in the Oregon MLS, but I can't find it in Trulia. Why is that?

Hi Carl,

The answers below are correct in that listings are submitted to Trulia by brokers and agents. Except in a few rare cases, Trulia does not receive listing information automatically from the MLS. Though we may not have complete coverage in all areas, we receive listings from many major franchises and have millions of listings in our database.

Trulia is a great resource. Having said that only a percentage of the agents use it by placing their listings here. If you are truly trying to get the best data and I can not stress this enough....get a good agent. Realtor.com probably has 85% of all listings but your area has an mls and there are probably some great agent driven websites that have 100% of the listings. In your area there may only be 30% of the total mls listings on Trulia so you might really be missing out!

FYI.

Hi Carl,

It takes a few days to upload a listing on trulia. It also depends if the broker/listing agent have a direct link to trulia which expedites the showing. The only site that has almost instant linkage is realtor.com
