By the way, CARs 2012 survey of Home Buyers ranked the top 6 websites as follows:

(23%) Zillow
(20%) Individual RE Brokerage
(19%) Individual RE Agent
(8%) Yahoo Real Estate
(6%) Trulia

Trulia is a host site, where information is sent to us from syndication websites. We do not pull listing data from the MLS, or any other site. You may submit XML feed for Sale listings. See for more information.

Hi farhad,

The link below covers MLS syndication. Your Listing Agent should be answering this question for you; the Broker may have syndication rules in place (perhaps via or this is just a simple mistake.

MLS Data Accuracy – Where to search if you’re “without Realtor®”

Syndication to 3rd party websites is a topic that has been heating up in the background for the last few years. Nationwide, entire MLS' have pulled out of any 3rd party syndication sources due to data accuracy, misuse, and management. I believe this will be one of the most talked about topics in 2013.

As far as I know MLS does not syndicate to Trulia. Most of the brokerages, virtual tour companies and RE site providers do. I would suggest manually adding your listing to Trulia.

It's possible that your local MLS doesn't share information with Trulia so your listing agent may need to enter it manually. Touch bases with them and ask them about doing this for you.

Hi Farhad - That's something you may want to ask your agent about.

It is a sale by owner and I got my house listed on MLS for one flat fee. I contacted them and they said that trulia and zillow are public sites and they cannot be controlled by the agent. So do I have to update these sites myself, or should trulia not pull in MLS updates automatically? Redfin does it. They are obviously better.
