After submitting a xml feed url, will your system check it on an interval?

Asked by Patrick Evans, Comstock Park, MI Wed May 20, 2009

Was wondering if after we submit a xml feed will your system check it on an interval (every 2 weeks, 2 months etc) or do we need to setup our own system to resubmit the xml feed at an interval so that new listings get posted?

If we need to setup our own submitting system, should we just submit a new xml feed url for just new listings, or can we just put our whole database into the same xml feed and your system will overwrite the old listings?

Hi Patrick, the feed work well and nothing is needed after your feed is setup. Just submit new data and it is automatically picked up and posted. The refresh rate is based on entrance into the site like many others. Depending how your website is setup and who you have as a listing service your listing from GRAR are already being pulled into the site. This is something you can control. You have listing and updates pull from your website or from GRAR. Take care.

Hi Patrick,

Great question! Trulia will automatically check your feed each day for new listings or updated information. There's nothing to do on your end other than to make sure that you update your feed with the latest listing information.

Please let us know if you have any other questions.

Best Wishes,
