Where is YOUR agent in all of this and what does he/she say? How badly do you want to make this deal work, so you can move on to the next house? I would say you and buyer should try to reach a compromise. Otherwise, you'll have to start all over again, relist the house, find another buyer, blah blah blah. Or, you can push back on the lender. They are the ones that are causing the delay. Ask for some sort of compensation in order to move the date. Good luck! ... more

This is something that the buyer should have done this before you went to contract. Let them have their own roofer come in and be there for the appointment. You will have to decide whether or not you want to proceed.
