Depends on what part of Philly you're residing in.

There are many parking garages in the Center City area that offer monthly fees. These can range from $200-300/month.

If you live in a building that has a parking garage they can offer you a parking spot based on availability for an additional cost. Some buildings in the area include the fee for parking in your rent (if a rental is what you choose).

If you are looking to buy a property, there are some areas that are more difficult to park than others. I believe some of the agents have already stated that Philadelphia is a large city and it really depends on where you are looking to live.

Hope this answers your question and if you need any additional help in the area, please do not hesitate to call!

Philadelphia is a very walkable city. Transportation (Septa) can be better but way better than most cities! Parking, if you are living in center city, can be very expensive. When I was younger my parents bought a parking spot a block from our house because finding a parking spot was a nightmare... and it wasn't in Center City.

Easy, yes. Expensive, somewhat. Parking, can be difficult. That's why it's great to know that Philadelphia has been voted as one of The Top Ten Best Cities To Loose Weight becuase it is such a walkable/bikeable city.

What's easy and expensive for one may not be for another.

The answer to your question depends on where you live.Philly is a large city and every neighborhood has free on-street parking with a lot of homes having parking space and a garage. If you will be living in center city, a monthly rental would be paid to a parking garage or you may get a parking permit for a small fee that allows you to park on the street.

It's outrageously expensive in Philly proper. Can you get away with taxis and public transport?
