Thank you for your question about the commute to Atlanta. It totally depends on your schedule. I know someone that travels downtown Monday through Friday and it takes them about 35 minutes door to door. Please know they choose to avoid the traffic and leave home around 6:15 a.m. In the evening, it takes them about 45 minutes to return home when they leave at 5:00 p.m.

SR 400 is still the better alternative to I-75 or I-85 because you do not have all the tractor-trailers to deal with.

Please feel free to contact me if I may assist you with other information about Alpharetta living.

If you are talking about the average work week rush hour commute, then you're looking at about 1 to 1-1/2 hours each way. Public transportation from Alpharetta not great. You can catch a bus here that will take you to the Marta train station at North Springs which is in the Dunwoody/Sandy Springs area. I usually suggest my clients live closer in if their commute is to downtown. If you are wanting the Alpharetta schools, there are some locations in Alpharetta that are much closer in than others.

Hope this helps! Let me know if I can assist you further.

15 minutes. No way.

Worst case - imagine this - it's 1130 at night and you are leaving the Verizon Wireless Amphitheatre on 9/29, after the RUSH concert. Nearly 45 minutes later you depart the parking lots. Then, you get home at 1am to downtown Atlanta.

But I digress...give it 40 minutes on a great day, from the Alpha Soda to the Euclid Avenue Yacht Club.

North Springs to 5 Points on MARTA will require a 45 minute commitment, minimum.
