Generally it will take 3 years for most types of bankrupsy and for most banks. Visit your local bank and speak to a loan officer there. Some home banks will approve thier own loans so they may require less time. If you need to wait, take this as a wonderful time to save some money so when you are able to buy a home, you have a large deposit to put down, if you have 20% it saves you money by not having to pay the pmi on the loan. ... more
