Tonawanda right now is busy, there is no real off season for homes for sale here. There was a few days around Christmas that is slowed down, but there are many home buyers out there looking for homes with a reduced number of homes for sale. What is your price range and I can give you a better idea of what is happening in that price segment. Over all it is very positive... ... more

I have to ask are you selling this home on your own or are you listed with an agent? Like everyone else has stated you will have to speak to an attorney But as your closing was 25th of Aug and were well into Sept there is a good chance your attorney can get you through this. If you have any questions please feel free to contact me directly and maybe I can be of some more assistance. Being a resident of Tonawanda I am sure I can find some answers for you.

I didn't realize you asked in 2 forums. . . but I am still thinking about the situation, so I will answer here, too. What I would do is print up a "fact" sheet to give out about how to care for a log home, how it is constructed, what is the insulation, etc. People may be shy of it because they don't know what to expect.
Aside from that, I would still check everything else that would effect the sale- updates, cleanliness, curb appeal, etc and be sure it is priced right. Tonawanda is selling well right now, and values are up slightly. Then try an ad to give it exposure, with some creative marketing. Advertise to the neighbors, and don't forget the local agents!

Like all specialized homes, log homes will find someone who loves them. I don't know where the home is located in Tonawanda, but if it is set in the right environment, such as along Ellicott Creek, it should be a plus, not a detriment. Be sure that is the problem, and not something else.
If your broker has an office in the area, maybe working with them would help. A broker's open for the area would get it shown to the local agents. My market area is Tonawanda (city and town) and I am not aware of it, so I can't be the only one!
