Hello. We have a six acre place five or six miles south of Laf. for sale. We could find out if our lender would allow at least a three year deal to rent to own. It's an older home, 3/2/ one and a half bath. Wood floors in excellent shape. Barn, shed, set up for horses. Or fences could come down and you could mow or use it for crops. Nice riding area that could also be a garden. Google 5624 Newcastle Road, Laf. IN. 47905 if you want to see it from above. Our asking price is 260K...neg. Back off road at least 800 feet. Surrounded by cropland. Possible more acres available later. Would need a down payment to be negotiated, and 1500.00 a month payment. 765-296-5080 late in day if interested. ... more

Bill Eckler answered:
The information you seek depends on so many factors: location, home features, current local RE market, etc. Whether or not your home will sell quickly or for its appraised value will depend on many other considerations.

With this said, the fact that you have had a professional appraisal done on the home certainly will not hurt your cause. If this is the case, be sure your agent publicizes that your "price is based on a recent appraisal." It's bound to get the buyer's attention....especially those that understand the buying and financing picture.

Good luck,

Lafayette school corporation. This isn't the best school corp. There is excessive violence, sex, and drugs. Anytime I had to pick up my daughter for an appointment there was some kid being taken out in handcuffs by police. Tippecanoe school corp is a better public school option. We took our kids out of Lafayette school corp and put them in Lafayette Catholic school system. ... more
